Inrō prices its Pro tier on contacts activated each month, so a post that lands well raises the bill, while a HookSend plan costs the same either way. Both sets of figures here were read on 30 September 2026.
Inrō does several things HookSend cannot. Inrō publishes and schedules Instagram posts, Reels and Stories, offers payments inside a DM on its Pro tier, and trains its AI agent on your inbox and your last six months of posts so the agent copies how you write. HookSend does none of those three, and the first row of the comparison below says so before anything else does.

- Both. HookSend is an approved Meta Tech Provider, and Inrō's own safety page, read on 30 September 2026, calls Inrō a certified Meta Tech Provider. Neither tool is the risky choice here.

Is HookSend cheaper than Inrō?
Usually, and one number decides it. HookSend charges a flat $3.50 a month (₹99 in India) to $40 a month (₹1,599 in India) per workspace, while Inrō Pro started at €12.99 a month and climbed with contacts activated — €49.99 at 3,000 and €149.99 at 10,000 on the calculator we read on 30 September 2026.
The gap widens exactly when a creator most wants automation. A reel that brings 10,000 people into DMs put Inrō Pro at €149.99 for that month on the ladder we read, where Growth at $25 a month (₹899 in India) covers 100,000 DMs for the same figure every month. Below a few hundred contacts the two are close, and Inrō's Free tier costs nothing at all. HookSend prices are ours and current as of 30 September 2026; the euro figures are what Inrō's own page showed on one day and Inrō can change them.
Does Inrō charge per contact or per message?
Per contact. Inrō's pricing page on 30 September 2026 said you pay each month for the contacts you have activated, and its AI agent page added that the agent's replies count towards those activations like any other message. HookSend charges per plan and meters DMs instead.
The distinction changes which tool suits which account. Contact pricing rewards a small, warm audience answered many times over, because a contact activated once costs the same whether the conversation runs two messages or twenty. DM metering rewards a large audience answered briefly, which is what comment-to-DM usually is: one keyword, one reply, one link. A creator sending a single link to thousands of new commenters a month is the case where HookSend's flat plan is cheapest, and a coach holding long conversations with forty clients is the case where Inrō's model may cost less.
Does HookSend do everything Inrō does?
No. HookSend cannot publish or schedule an Instagram post, Reel or Story, cannot take a payment inside a DM, and cannot learn your writing style from your earlier posts. Inrō's own product pages advertised all three on 30 September 2026. HookSend does Instagram comment-to-DM and the conversation after it.
HookSend's flows do cover the parts that follow a trigger: buttons, quick replies, cards, an AI answer from your own documents, AI path routing, collecting an answer, conditions, a time check, a wait of up to 24 hours, tags, webhooks, handover to a human, a jump into another flow, and re-entry rules. What HookSend has that Inrō's pages did not show is Comment Guard, which hides spam comments, and brand-pitch detection. Any buyer who needs content scheduling in the same tool should read Inrō's pages rather than this one.
Are Inrō and HookSend both approved by Meta?
Both. HookSend is an approved Meta Tech Provider, built by HOOKSEND SOFTWARE, with every permission the app uses reviewed by Meta. Inrō's own instagram-automation-safety page, read on 30 September 2026, states that Inrō is a certified Meta Tech Provider connecting through Meta's official Instagram Graph API.
Meta status is therefore not a reason to pick between these two, and a comparison page claiming otherwise would be wrong. Both tools connect through Meta's OAuth screen rather than asking for an Instagram password, which is the part that actually protects an account: the tools that get accounts restricted are the ones logging in as you or driving a browser. Meta's own rules apply identically to both — one private reply per comment, a 24-hour messaging window from the person's last message, comment replies only within seven days, and a professional Instagram account.
Can HookSend be operated from Claude or ChatGPT the way Inrō's MCP server can?
Yes, and Inrō can too. HookSend publishes an MCP server with 63 tools that build flows, create campaigns, write Comment Guard rules and send inbox replies in plain language. Inrō's MCP page on 30 September 2026 described more than 25 tools that also send DMs.
Both connectors act rather than only report, so an honest comparison cannot claim HookSend is alone in that. Where the two differ is reach in either direction: Inrō's tools publish posts, Reels and Stories, which HookSend's cannot, and HookSend's cover Comment Guard rules and knowledge bases, which Inrō's pages did not list. Both gate the connector behind a paid tier — HookSend on the 15 day trial and every paid plan but not Free, and Inrō on Pro or trial, with a free account shown an upgrade prompt.
Which free plan is better, HookSend's or Inrō's?
Different, and the unit is why. HookSend's Free plan is $0 (₹0 in India) for 2,500 DMs a month on 1 Instagram account and 3 campaigns. Inrō's Free plan was €0 for 100 activated contacts, 3 active automations and 3 campaigns a month on 30 September 2026.
Neither number converts into the other, because a contact is a person and a DM is a message. A thousand DMs stretches a long way if each commenter gets one reply with a link, and stops early if a flow sends four messages to each of 250 people. Inrō's hundred contacts can absorb a long conversation each. Both are free without a card and neither expires. HookSend also gives every new workspace 15 days of every feature and 50,000 DMs first, and Inrō advertised a 14 day Pro trial.

Every Inrō figure above came off Inrō’s own public pages. The list below is what those pages did not answer, so no sentence on this page states it either. Where one of these matters to your decision, Inrō is the only reliable source for it.
- Whether Inrō accepts a PDF upload for its knowledge base. Inrō's AI agent page names FAQs, price lists, product docs and brand guidelines, and never uses the word PDF, so this page does not claim either way.
- How many Instagram accounts one Inrō plan or one Inrō bill covers. Inrō publishes team seats — 1 on Free, up to 10 on Pro, unlimited on Managed — and an organisation model for agencies, but no per-plan Instagram account number.
- Whether Inrō's Free plan includes the Instagram Live comment trigger. Inrō's pricing page contradicted itself on the day we read it: its trigger table marked Live comments as included on Free, and the feature summary higher up the same page marked it as not included.
- Any rupee or US dollar price for Inrō. Every figure on the pages we read was in euros, and no regional pricing was published, so a reader in India cannot be told what Inrō will actually charge their card.
- How Inrō performs. Nobody here signed up, ran a campaign or sent a DM through Inrō, so this page compares published facts and nothing else.

The two units are not the same thing, so the comparison only holds if each of your contacts receives roughly one DM.
- Is Inrō approved by Meta?
- Yes, on Inrō's own statement. Inrō's instagram-automation-safety page, read on 30 September 2026, says Inrō is a certified Meta Tech Provider that connects exclusively through Meta's official Instagram Graph API and never logs into your account. HookSend is an approved Meta Tech Provider as well. Meta reviewed both, so Meta approval is not a way to choose between them; we did not independently audit Inrō's status beyond reading that page.
